Data privacy statement

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We process your data exclusively in accordance with legal regulations (GDPR, TKG 2021). In this privacy policy statement, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the scope of our website.

1. Contact with Us

If you contact us via the website’s form or by email, your provided data will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and for any follow-up questions for a period of six months. We do not share this data without your consent.

2. Data Storage for Training Booking via the Website

We would like to point out that for the purpose of simplifying the booking process and for subsequent contract processing by MDI, the IP data of the connection owner, as well as the title, name, address, company name, email, and phone number of the booker, are stored within cookies. Furthermore, the following data is also stored by us for the purpose of contract processing: registration date, HR contact in the company (if available), title & topic of the attended seminar, date of the attended seminar, billing address. The data provided by you is required for the fulfillment of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without this data, we cannot conclude the contract with you. Data will not be transmitted to third parties except to our tax advisor to fulfill our tax-related obligations.

After canceling a booking process, the data stored with us will be deleted. In the case of concluding a contract, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the end of the statutory retention period for tax purposes (7 years).

The data of name, address, services used, and purchase date will be stored beyond this until the end of the product liability period (10 years). Data processing is carried out in accordance with the legal provisions of § 96 para 3 TKG and/or Art 6 para 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary for the performance of a contract) of the GDPR.

3. Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device through your web browser. They do not cause any harm.

We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

If you do not wish to use cookies, you can set up your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and only allow this on a case-by-case basis. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

4. Web Analysis

Our website uses functions from various web analytics service providers, as listed below. Cookies are used for this purpose, which enables an analysis of the use of the website by its users. The information generated in this way is transferred to the provider’s server and stored there. You can prevent this by setting up your browser so that no cookies are stored.

We have concluded a corresponding contract for order data processing with each of the following providers.

Your IP address is also recorded but immediately pseudonymized. This allows only rough localization.

4.2 Facebook

This website uses plugins provided by Facebook.com, which are operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. Users of our website, where the Facebook plugin is installed, are hereby informed that a connection to Facebook is established when the plugin is activated, resulting in your browser sending information to Facebook so that the plugin appears on the website. Furthermore, data is transmitted to Facebook servers by using the plugin, which contains information about your website visits on our homepage. For logged-in Facebook users, this means that usage data is assigned to their personal Facebook account. On our website, we also provide links to other websites; this is solely for informational purposes. These websites are not under our control and, therefore, do not fall under the provisions of this privacy policy. If you activate a link, it is possible that the operator of that website may collect data about you and process it in accordance with their own privacy policy, which may differ from ours.

6. Data Processing

Data processing is carried out in accordance with the legal regulations of § 174 TKG (consent) and/or (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. Our aim under the GDPR (legitimate interest) is to improve our offering and our online presence. As we value the privacy of our users, user data is pseudonymized. User data is stored for a period of 38 months.

7. Newsletter

You have the option to subscribe to our newsletter via our website. For this purpose, we require your email address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter.

In order to provide you with targeted information, we also collect and process voluntarily provided information about areas of interest, name, company, date of birth, and postal code.

Once you have subscribed to the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to confirm your registration.

You can cancel your newsletter subscription at any time. Please send your cancellation to the following email address: marketing@mdi-training.com. Additionally, in every newsletter you receive, you have the option to unsubscribe by clicking on the provided link. We will promptly delete your data related to newsletter distribution.

8. Your Security

We use technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction, and unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments on the internet.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to request information about, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, and portability of your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent and object to data processing. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection laws or if your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.

If you take action to enforce your rights listed above in accordance with the GDPR, MDI will respond to the requested action or comply with the request without delay, but no later than one month after receiving your request.
